چکیده
Abstract This study examines the efficiency of investment trust companies (ITCs) from 2011 to 2020 using a meta-frontier two-stage network data envelopment analysis (DEA) based on directional distance function (DDF). We improved accuracy measurement and added network-based ranking component rank top-performing entities. In group-specific technology assessment, foreign ITCs excel in efficiency. Meanwhile, meta-technology domestic outperform terms both operational efficiencies. Group-specific scores were found be lower than or equal for stages. Based approach, Yuan Ta, ITC that ranked fourth stage first stage, can used as reliable benchmark. will enable practitioners gain better understanding performance operating under heterogeneous technologies.

Governments often promote inward foreign investment to encourage technology “spillovers” from foreign to domestic firms. Using panel data on Venezuelan plants, we find that foreign equity participation is positively correlated with plant productivity (the “own-plant” effect), but this relationship is only robust for small enterprises. We then test for spillovers from joint ventures to plants wi...

This paper uses firm-level panel data from Taiwan’s manufacturing industries from 1987 to 2000 to investigate the impact of outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) on the technical efficiency of the OFDI firms. Propensity score matching is used to construct an appropriate group of non-OFDI firms to compare with OFDI firms, and a metafrontier framework is subsequently used to calculate comparab...
